A new year brings endings and beginnings.. with each come the remembrance and making of memories. I cannot wait to start my new year with the friends and surroundings that have filled my life with the greatest of memories. But what I am more excited about is to conclude my endings in Indianapolis and start my beginnings in a new location that will transform me into who I have always dreamed.

The Most Glorious Time of Year
Beyond the stress of finals and studying, this is truly my favorite time of the year. Having not grown up in the North, I truly crave the season of winter year round. I love the snow, the lights, the silence of night, and the layers of fabulous holiday fashion and cafe au lait that I get to indulge in everyday. In my discovery, people are generally in the best spirits possible despite the biting cold. Maybe it is the fact that we all know regardless of what happens throughout our year, the holidays are the only time we can truly reunite with our families despite any cause. Having not lived within any near proximity of my family for the past three and a half years, I cannot wait to spend time with the people I love the most. Only a few more days and I will surpass this final Fall semester, move into the year of 2011, graduate, and begin a new chapter in my life. There is too much to be grateful for this holiday season.

In Your Shoes
While we are all experiencing HP phenomenon right now.. I thought I would reflect on how quintessential the real Emma Watson truly is. Inspiration for the next few days to get me through this unbearable Indiana weather? I think yes.

The City
Some things gradually come to you over time and others hit you like a brick. I thought I had known what I wanted to do before... and after being in The City my aspirations for the future have only been made more evident. I belong amongst the people who make the culture of our style evolve day after day. The people who not only present the change in the way we display and carry ourselves, but who also create it. To be confident in what I am doing and be able to recognize exactly where I need to live, work, and grow is only going to make my last year in college that much better. The countdown is officially on and I am ready for the end so the start can begin!

The Best Is Here To Stay
Due to the ever-consistent weather conditions in the Midwest [sarcasm in its truest form], Fall has officially come into existence. The warm weather that I have been exposed to for the past few months has finally withdrawn and now this born-and-raised Florida girl must once again start resembling the kid from A Christmas Story and gain 10 pounds in wool layers... hopefully to become all cashmere someday.
This immediate weather change had me thinking, when the weather reverts back into its glorious warmth I will be in a new place in life. I may be living in a new city, I may be surrounded by new people, I may have my first professional job...who knows.
I wish I could speed time up for awhile so that I know what is going to happen after that diploma is placed in my hands.. then rewind and potentially ride on cruise control through my senior year minus stress and pressure. But in someways I think that is the best part about it: not knowing. I can't wait to be in these new cities that I may live in or meet these new people who I hope to surround myself with everyday.
In no way am I worried about discovering who I will be after my senior year. If anything I have never been more excited to get this show started.
So lets keep it entertaining, bring on the best of what I have to get. You only live everyday once, so I am going to fill everyday with quotes, images, people and places that make me feel my absolute best!
Day One: The Fabulous Mary Kate Olsen.

The Initial Ascent
So this is where I start it all.. the beginning of that final year in which everyone thinks they know everything about anything.
I am going to follow my utter confusion and potential loss of self and turn it into a discovery of what I know, where I am going, and who I will become. So far I think I will start here..
