A little weekend rendezvous in Connecticut with the best of an old friend = grade A necessary. I loved every relaxing and quiet minute.. but walking back into the lights.. never felt more like home.

Two Times the Wishes

My first birthday in my new home of NYC marked twenty two years of amazing times, fabulous friends, and truly epic/unforgettable/forgettable times. I loved every moment and cannot wait for more. xoxo

Making The Most Of It

I already can't get enough. It is completely understandable why people say there is not enough time in the day OR those others who even say that although they live in the city, they have not had time to explore more than a quarter of it. I am hoping to not be one of those people. And so my many adventures begin.

This Is It... Part One.

Well it has arrived. My last week in the Midwest, my last Monday of school, the final days with those who I have grown to know over the past four years, and the concluding week of a "normal life". In all honesty, it is about time. The change I have been waiting for has actually jumped ahead of me and now I am looking to catch up. I only have six days to move back to the sunshine state, then three days to repack and move to the big city. The only thing perhaps keeping me sane is knowing that I will be rocking graduation in my very first Halston dress... courtesy of mi madre.
This is it... the adventure begins!

Transcending

I need to go beyond what I have always known and start transitioning myself into the mode of true independence. A month from now I will no longer be in school, but instead preparing for a real world, new life, new city, new career, and overall new persona. The suspense is starting to kill me..so I am drowning out my thoughts with dreams of old school beauty and the presence of long awaited florals. 
Three weeks and four days. It's not the end of the world, it's the start of it!

Dreaming of Spring

Although it is technically Spring, the Midwest has not been able to fully make the switch. During my last few weeks at the university I would truly love to experience a day without my layers. I'm ready to bare it all to the sunshine.

Proud To Be A Bulldog

The best way to close off a senior year, is to come together with the 4,200 students of my university and celebrate another year of Final Four victories! The excitement, nervousness, dedication, insanity... it's prime Bulldog season yet again! I cannot wait for the events of this week and will be sure to wear my lucky blue bow to ensure another win!

A Moment In Time

One last break, one last time. This is the moment that I thought would never come..a final Spring Break. Having been living in desperation for even a second that I can sit back and relax, I am not knowing what to do..because I have nothing to do. So in contemplation of the fact that I may not be having another carefree moment for the next few years of my life, I am going to force myself to: lay in the sun, listen to artists on my iPod that have long been neglected, spend meaningless time that in fact is meaningful with my family, and try to honestly do nothing. This may be one of my greatest challenges yet..but I am more than willing to try!

All I Want.. For Now

So it is decided that all I am wanting as the end of my senior year approaches is to be in a thriving city full of culture and life. I want to be involved in the marketing and branding of a global fashion company as well as have the opportunity to be a worldly traveler. My closest friends and I are becoming beyond sentimental as the end is closely approaching. However, at the same time I am about to jump out of my skin due to the excitement of starting a new beginning. I will continue to be the same little girl playing in the ocean in Florida, the same young woman dancing in the snow in Indiana, and eventually the same woman living my life in the vast array of cities that I have only been able to dream about! My life is currently a novel in reverse. The end is near.. I can't wait to find out the beginning.
